To receive additional items that the Chair is of the opinion should be considered as a matter of urgency, in accordance with Section 100B (4) (b) of the Local Government Act 1972.

Declarations of Interests

Minutes:

There were no declarations of interest.

 

Exclusion of the Public and Press

 

Members agreed the press and public should be excluded from the meeting during consideration of an agenda item on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as specified in Part I of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 or it being confidential for the purposes of Section 100A(2) of that Act.

 

At 7.04pm, Applicant 5 and Representative for Applicant 5 left the Council chamber.

New Application for a Private Hire Driver Licence

Minutes:

The Chair asked all parties if they had any requests, and it was noted that the applicant’s son would speak on behalf of the applicant.

 

The Licensing Officer introduced the report to Members of the Sub-Committee.

 

Members and the applicant were provided the opportunity to ask questions of the Licensing Officer. There were none.

 

The applicant was then provided with the opportunity to present his case.

 

All parties were given an opportunity to ask questions to the applicant. There were none from the Licensing Officer.

 

The Chair of the Sub-Committee sought if Members had any further questions. There were none. He then moved on to closing summaries.

 

The Sub-Committee adjourned at 7.22pm for deliberation and were accompanied by the Legal Advisor and the Senior Democratic Services Officer. 

 

The meeting reconvened at 7.34pm.

 

RESOLVED:

 

That the Licensing Sub-Committee granted the application.

 

At 7.35pm, Applicant 4 and Representative for Applicant 4 left the Council chamber.

 

At 7.37pm, Applicant 5 and Representative for Applicant 5 entered the Council chamber.
